you say prove a lot, but all i see are descriptions. “couldn’t argue yourself out of a wet paper bag” is hardly a “punch in the face” it’s more like a “tired and boring cliche”. get a life? get a thesaurus!

i think that rintrah’s main interest in the harper discussion is sarcasm and entertainment. the funny part of the sarcasm is that it would make perfect sense if most of these things were to actually happen (much like ‘the onion’ humour, or the like. it’s called satire. you should wikipedia that one.) although as entertaining as his posts are, i find them very informative. and as should you.

quit with the boring cliche and let’s have some substance, huh? i’d honestly like to know how people are interested in conservatism… as i explained before, i can’t see it fostering any kind of productivity or social good. what else would you possibly want from a government and how do you think fulfilling everyone’s needs in a society would be a bad thing? what makes others undeserving?

I didn’t come here to yell at you, I came here to prove a point…

That being, that socialists use lies and insinuation, to promote their cause.
If socialism is such a good philosophy, why can’t you promote it with fact and conviction?
Why do you have to resort to lies and innuendo?

This site and your latest post, (answers that slap you in the face)prove my point perfectly.

I’ll be directing other conservatives this way, so they too, can see for themselves what socialists and socialism are all about.!

William Wylie, I have a fine life, thank-you very much. Yours must be pretty dull if you must come here, yell at me, and tell me off. If you actually believe that I am wrong then rather than using tired rhetoric and insults why not engage me on a one-to-one level. It is words like yours that do not promote any dialogue and ruin what democracy we actually have in Canada.

i don’t understand why people feel the need to ‘better’ one another.

consider that your existence, your intelligence, your very mind is a social phenomenon. nothing is really your own, and a community constitutes you, you have an obligation to it.

guns and taxbreaks are not ways we promote authenticity, community and moral goods.

not to sound outlandishly hippy-like, but isn’t there anyone that you love mr. wylie? if there is, ask yourself why. i think you might find that the entire world is not based on utility and material gain.

if this is “a life” i refuse to take one on.
