Experimental Awards 2005

It is time for the first annual Experimental Awards. These awards recognize the contributions to The Experiment from my commentors. Everyone is eligible but you must have entered by commenting on this site. Much thanks and applause to all who entered but there can only be one winner per category. Winners and runner-ups (where applicable) were determined by myself, Elijah Rintrah, based on strict criteria that I developed myself. in certain circumstances the criteria was ignored as it did not fit who I wanted to win. Deciding the winners was not easy and is not a task I take lightly. To those who did not win, I am sorry but you can rest assured that there is great honour in knowing that you were nominated. (Everyone who posted was nominated by myself.) For those of you who did not enter, shame on you. Shame. Shame. Shame. And here, in no particular order, are the winners.

Best Complement Award
Winner – marmalade for her trackback to Not News for November 28th. Plus I am considering learning how to knit now. (Is there anything special I need to know before I venture out to buy supplies?) Thanks.

Runner Up – aaron for suggesting that my site is Onion-ish. aaron does not win because this site is not in the same league as the Onion. But thanks anyway.

Most Awkward Complement Award
Winner – William Wylie for his comment on Answers That Slap You in the Face

I’ll be directing other conservatives this way, so they too, can see for themselves what socialists and socialism are all about.!

Best Criticism
Winner – Paul Vincent for forcing me to re-think and re-analyze what I had written. Thanks.

Worst Attempt at an Insult
Winner – William Wylie for stating that I could not argue my “way out of a wet paper bag.”

Runner-Up – William Wylie for calling me a socialist like “[my] father (commie Jack Layton)”

2nd Runner-Up – William Wylie for telling another commenter to “take another vacation in CUBA.”

Lamest Threat Ever
Winner – William Wylie for threatening to bring more visitors to my site.

Most Over-Dramatization in a Comment
Winner – William Wylie for repeated incoherent and ridiculous rhetoric in comments, and the overuse of the words “commie” and “socialist.”

Racist Ass Award
Winner – John R for his comment on Valhalla On Earth because he seems to want to ignore the history and culture of “white people” in which other races were considered to be inferior.

Greatest Commenter
Winner – aaron for continued clarity and ego-boosting. And for actually reading and contributing something to the site.

Best Off-Site Responder
Winner – Anacharsis for questioning and correcting any idea pre- and post-publication.

Conclusion
While William Wylie won the most awards I don’t think we could assume that he is the biggest winner of the Experimental Awards of 2005. But I want to thank everyone who took part in the Experiment in 2005 and I hope to see more of you in 2006. Who knows, you may already be a winner.

Response to an Undeserving

I have said it before and I will say it again. My blog is my barf-bucket and if you step in it that is your problem. And when you leave me a comment then you are free game. William Wylie has been kind enough to leave several comments on this site in response to my post Answers That Slap You in the Face. And else where. (Be aware, this is a long post, sorry.)

I suggested to Wylie to drop his rhetoric and engage me one-on-one. To which he replied:

There is no point in going one-on-one with you, you couldn’t argue your way out of a wet paper bag, you think the truth is tired rhetoric, once more prove my truth wrong, find one scientific study claiming humans are the cause of global warming…just one….

I did not say that I wanted to argue. In fact I said the opposite, I want to discuss and have dialogue. Arguing just forces people to re-entrench and dig in their heels. Dialogue at least would provide the opportunity to admit being wrong or consider that very possibility. As for global warming AOL.CountryWatch.com discusses those very concepts. Another site discusses several impacts that human activity has had on the earth and, in particular the Ethiopian famine of the 1980′s. The earth is a system and if one variable in that system changes then the other variables are affected. To claim that humans have not had any impact on the earth is to be ignorant.

Closing the coal plants is a smart move. A healthy move. Building more in elsewhere in the world is a bad idea.

The real problem with our democracy is liars like you, twisting dialogue into socialist ideology..!

How am I twisting dialogue? How am I lying? When I say what I believe I cannot be hurting democracy. Democracy is all about having different ideas about different topics and working together to get things done that benefit everyone in that society. By silencing people because you disagree (and therefore they are hurting democracy) then you are effectively removing any possibility for some sort of progress. John Stuart Mills said, in On Liberty:

First, if any opinion is compelled to silence, that opinion may, for aught we can certainly know, be true. To deny this is to assume our own infallibility.

Secondly, though the silenced opinion be an error, it may, and very commonly does, contain a portion of truth; and since the general or prevailing opinion on any subject is rarely or never the whole truth, it is only by the collision of adverse opinions that the remainder of the truth has any chance of being supplied.

Thirdly, even if the received opinion be not only true, but the whole truth; unless it is suffered to be, and actually is, vigorously and earnestly contested, it will, by most of those who receive it, be held in the manner of a prejudice, with little comprehension or feeling of its rational grounds. And not only this, but, fourthly, the meaning of the doctrine itself will be in danger of being lost or enfeebled, and deprived of its vital effect on the character and conduct; the dogma becoming a mere formal profession, inefficacious for good, but cumbering the ground and preventing the growth of any real and heartfelt conviction from reason or personal experience.

Now, I started a dialogue and you, Mr Wylie, decided to take part by telling me that I am a commie, a liar, and a user of rhetoric. I will say that first of all your insults do not do anything to prove me wrong or show me where I am at fault. In fact you do not even suggest how being a so-called commie is a bad thing other than the implied intonation in your voice. I did not twist any dialogue into “socialist ideology.” This is because I initiated the dialogue on my own website. You, on the other hand, did take my words, did a sort-of search-and-replace with your own words and did twist it into to your favour.

Layton’s solutions to the issues in Canada are not adequate. The NDP answer is to remodel the entire nation after themselves. If you don’t like it then you are wrong. Speaking out against people of a NDP/socialist bent (especially if they say they have no political affiliation) apparently is a risky business. Just imagine if there were armed socialist mandarins on every street corner. Or union thugs with guns. Or (commies like yourself) with tommy guns.

That is clever. Unfortunately wrong. Saying Layton’s solutions are not adequate does not make them so. I provide examples but you do not. The NDP answer is to continue Canada on its socialized model. The Conservatives want to stop and back-track. One method is to continue forward (hardly a re-model) and the other is to stop everything and change the entire framework. To suggest “armed socialist mandarins” is either very slightly racist in tone or ridiculous considering that a mandarin is “shrub or small tree having flattened globose fruit with very sweet aromatic pulp and thin yellow-orange to flame-orange rind that is loose and easily removed.” That would be fun to see.

It seems to me that you live in a binary universe. Either a person is a conservative or a socialist. Or is it fascist and communist? Trudeau was not a communist. I am not a communist. To say so is to tell an untruth. Or, using your rhetoric it is “lies”,”innuendo,” and “insinuation.” I will repeat, I am not a Communist but I would subscribe to being a socialist.

It’s the socialists who are un-popular, thats why you can’t get elected unless you lie and call yourself a liberal…Paul Martin is giving money to a chinese organization that does not represent the chinese people who actually paid the head tax, can you say kick-back to the liberal party…

I am not a Liberal. Paul Martin does not speak for me. The head-tax was a horrible idea. The Liberal answer is a horrible idea. I agree with you. Why do you sound like you disagree with me? In my original post I was implieing the same thing of which the Conservatives accuse the Liberals: Saying whatever it takes to get elected. That is where we would disagree. But all politicians will say things during election time, and everything they say is to get elected. I was simply bringing attention to the fact that Harper reversed his opinion at an opportune time.

As for being lonely, I am not. If the Liberals are socialists and the NDP are socialists and about half of the Bloc are socialists (it is my guess that you would place them there, but to be safe I guess that half are and half are not) then I am not lonely at all. If you add up the latest percentages for these so-called socialist liars you will see that I am not that lonely.

33%Liberal + 16%NDP + (13%Bloc / 2) = 55%

Even if I am alone with my NDP friends then I am not lonely. The NDP have proven that they are willing to work with others to build a Canada of which we can be proud. And that pride can be instilled if we make sure that all Canadians are taken care of.

Change…!, yes lets change this socialist track we have been on for many years now, Mike Harris was right, Paul Martin cut transfers to Ontario during Harris’s term to the tune of 22 billion dollars, at the same time Harris increased health care spending and cut taxes, I call that sound financial planning in the face of such cuts, (don’t believe me?) just ask Dalton, Oh ya, and I need that 25 dollars a week, to pay my little sister to babysit, that is something you and the socialists can’t stand, that I might not want my children indoctrinated in the canadian version of Soviet Pioneer school…

If we must get off the “socialist track” then you should not get that $25/week. For working parents who have to work in order to make ends meet $25/week will not do. For Harris to increase Healthcare spending he would have to have been operating on the “socialist track” and if that is sound finacial spending then it sounds like you like healthcare. So why get off of it? And do you actually believe that a national daycare program would “indoctrinate” children? Do you actually believe that the people you call “socialists” and “commies” only have evil intentions? Is it possible that socialists only want what is best for the majority (or even all) Canadians? There are some other small-c conservatives out there who have, in some form or another, said that re-instituting the residential school system would be a good idea. Do you agree with such an idea? That would be tantamount to saying that indoctrinating people is a good idea. (Just thought I would throw that out there as a general question.)

Parallel to that line of thinking, why is speaking “out against people of a NDP/socialist bent (especially if they say they have no political affiliation) apparently is a risky business.” I have not and, as far as I know, neither have any NDPers or socialists threatened others with lawsuits. I do not wish to discuss this further. It is, in my opinion, a tired subject. I am just curious how my words, after being chewed up and spit back out at me, are supposed to hurt me.

One last thing…

I didn’t come here to yell at you, I came here to prove a point…

That being, that socialists use lies and insinuation, to promote their cause.

If socialism is such a good philosophy, why can’t you promote it with fact and conviction?

Why do you have to resort to lies and innuendo?

This site and your latest post, (answers that slap you in the face)prove my point perfectly.

I’ll be directing other conservatives this way, so they too, can see for themselves what socialists and socialism are all about.!

Thank you ….you have done me a big favour, conservatives all over the world thank you for showing us socialisms true colours…!

And I want to thank-you. I do not believe that I am wrong (no one ever really does) but I am open to criticism when it takes the form of an actual dialogue. You claim that I could not argue myself out of a wet paper bag. I do not know what that means except that maybe I spilled the alcohol that I was concealing in the bag. In that case I guess I cannot. I would just tell the truth. But you did not provide anything to really argue about. Your persistent use of the words “commie,” “socialist” and the like are reminiscent of Ann Coulter. If being called a socialist is not an insult to me then I guess being called an arrogant, self-absorbed, and self-righteous pretender to the throne of infallibility (aka Ann Coulter) is not an insult either.

But I beg of you, do invite your friends. Do invite your enemies. Invite your family. Bring the dog. Then we could talk. Unless you insist on insulting your own intelligence by using the same words to describe me rather than actually discussing what I wrote in a logical and thoughtful way. Also, please note, that I do not speak for the NDP, other socialists and communists or anyone else either living or dead. I speak only for myself. My opinions are my own. So if I am showing you “socialisms [sic] true colours” then I am honoured to be am ambassador but I am only a delegate for myself.

Peace to you William Wylie. May the economic gods continue to smile on you.

Answers that Slap you in the Face

The Answer to All Societies Ills
The only way to keep people from shooting people is to bring in more guns. Or at least that seems to be the Conservative’s answer. Harper wants to militarize the entire nation. Or at least the urban areas. With such hot-spots as Winnipeg, Regina, and Calgary joining the ranks of Vancouver and Toronto, Harper figures that a military presence is the perfect answer in all five of these areas. Rather than, like Layton suggests (and so have I), developing a strategy to stop guns from being smuggled into Canada, Harper wants to make guns more accessible and promote the sexy-ness of guns by making them more visible (through a military presence).

The Answer to Global Warming
For Conservatives the best way to deal with global warming is to militarize the arctic. Rather than actually looking into environmental issues, we should arm polar bears. While maintaining sovereignty over the arctic is important, I feel we should spend more money, time and energy into developing ways in which our money, time and energy will not melt the reindeer and elven habitat. A melted arctic is a new battlefield, I guess.

The Answer to Unpopularity
The easiest way to be popular is to be a slut. Being a slut is easily accomplished by saying and doing basically everything that anyone asks of you. Harper has reversed his position on the repayment to the Chinese community regarding the head-tax of a century ago. If it is unpopular then change your mind. And join the NDP and Bloc in their stance against the Liberal’s solution. Why the change? I cannot rightly say. It is hard to judge motives. My guess is that it is the slutty thing to do. Change to get elected? I promise better cafeteria food. And no school on Mondays. “GO TEAM!”

The Answer to Loneliness
It is a tough life being all alone knowing that a majority of people disagree with you, each for different reasons or with different solutions. Harper’s plan is to not form a posse with which to work hard TOGETHER for Canadians. The only answer is to go it alone. Because the only people who were right and who were real Canadians are those who vote for you. Rather than demonstrating a willingness to show the world and each other that Canada is diverse and united yet dynamically polarized, Harper wants to maintain a divided Canada. He will do it himself. A Utopia that only he can build (with the help of the military in cities and the polar bears up north).

The Answer is “Change”
The Conservatives say that they will bring change to Canada. This assumes that the way Canada is, and is heading is wrong. Instead of proposing new ideas Harper presents the “Mike Harris Portfolio”. So, in this case “change” means “something already tried.” In another sense, “Change” refers to piddly amounts of money. Such as less than $25 bucks a week for day-care. Or about $250 in GST not spent per year. But in the true sense of the word “change” refers to an alteration in how things are done. How about slowly eroding the social security safety net? Like making good, quality health-care harder to come by? Or removing restrictions on import and sales of guns? Or sending our troops to fight in war zones rather than actually peace-keeping? Or in militarizing our entire country?

right to arm bears

Harper is full of everything except good answers.
Harper’s solutions to the issues in Canada are not adequate. The Conservative answer is to remodel the entire nation after themselves. If you don’t like it then you are wrong. Speaking out against people of a Conservative bent (especially if they say they have no political affiliation) apparently is a risky business. Just imagine if there were armed military operatives on every street corner. Or polar bears with guns. Or penguins with tommy guns.

Conspiracy, Libel, and Other Nonsense

Somena Media confronts Small Dead Animals. It is a great article; Clear, precise and articulate. If the ring-leader of the “Chow Chow Conspiracy” resigns and apologizes after being caught saying such outrageous and hideous things why do the Conservatives continue to function as they do after saying and photo-shopping equally offensive and demeaning things?

Read the post and then read the entire site. Brilliance and clarity will shine through.

The Poor Persecuted Conservatives and their MSM Masters

Conservatives know shit-all about media. Liberals, the NDP, the Bloc and the Greens may know just as much. But Conservatives know shit-all. First off, NealeNews is a conservative news aggregator. And who does Neale News site as being “news”? None other than Small Brained Animals. The reason for this is because CTV made a mistake. Whether it is intentional or not is beside the point. SDA claims that it was a “Freudian slip” when the author of the CTV site wrote something to the effect of suggesting that the Conservatives where going to make some ads that mislead the Canadian people. But this is not news. Of course the media is slanted one way or another. I don’t hear the Conservatives complaining about the Globe and Mail or the National Post. But the CBC or CTV? OH MY GOD!!!!

I mean SDA and others are “outraged” by the pictures of Harper that appear in the news. Supposedly someone hates Harper enough to simply make his eyes look more white than normal. If it was me photo-shopping Harper’s eyes I would make them glow red. Or I would add red-eye. But such is life. If you are a Conservative in Canada then you are a persecuted Conservative in Canada.

Case in point, if the Liberals have a picture of your leader talking to a separatist then it is a smear campaign in the worst degree. This is especially true if the photo was taken during a Holocaust memorial. Because if the photo was taken at a Holocaust memorial then it is supposedly off-limits. Get over yourselves. It is a photo taken where Harper is talking to Duceppe. It could have been anywhere. It could have been for any reason. Harper could have been asking for directions to the bathroom. It is a photo where Harper and Duceppe were sharing a moment. Whether it was in reflection on the horrors of war or on the fact that everyone poops, it was still a moment. But Conservatives are a touchy-feely persecuted group and must be coddled because they still suck at their mother’s teat.

I went to the Blogging Tories and took a look around to see what else is being said about the “Main Stream Media” or, as it is classily called by the Conservashits, the MSM. And it appears they don’t like the media at all. But some are of the opinion that the MSM will “suck up” to whoever is likely to win.

The thing that intrigues me the most is that those who say the CBC is a liberal mouth-piece will also say that no one actually watches or listens to the CBC. Conservatives will also say that they are the majority in Canada (at least some do) but that the MSM is anti-Conservative. If the MSM is Liberal and Canada is Conservative why would people continue to get their news from a Liberal media that hates their perspectives?

The Conservatives know jack-shit about the media. They claim that anything reported about them is negative; that images of their illustrious leader are photo-shopped; and that the media caters to who is projected as winning.

According to the Conservative perspective news and commentary are the same thing. Neale News confirms this by posting a link to SDA as being news. This blurred line is the outrageous thing. Kate’s posts on SDA are not news, they are commentary on news and the news reporters. Albeit very biased, Kate has the right to post her comments. But because here comments are commentary, they are not news. But bitch bitch bitch, the MSM is evil. But only when it says something or appears to say something against what you believe.

So what has come out of the alleged “photo-shot scandal”? Or of the “Liberal Conspiracy to Yell at the US”? Nothing. It was not news. It will not be news. And if it was news it does not do or change anything. But that does not change anything. Yelling and screaming at the MSM is not news any more than The Experiment is news.

If Small Dead Animals is news then the greatest news source is Small Dead Animals V2.0. The original SDA is an ugly looking blog. V2.0 is much better to look at, more interesting, and actually has something to say even if it is using Kate’s own words. But, alas, the Conservashits know shit-all about news and the news media. They just know how to whine and bitch. I just wish someone could teach them to suck it up. The least they could do is explain, in human terms, why they think they are right rather than why complaining. At least then we may have a dialogue about their ideas. As long as they bitch and complain about photo-shopped eyes that were not photo-shopped, or a typo here or there they will continue being those arrogant, self-absorbed, self-righteous, persecuted Conservashits.

Arctic Beach Patrol

“Stephen Harper not only opposes Kyoto, but he refutes the science. He’s back in the dinosaur era. Harper is just totally out of it.” — David Suzuki, on Canadian Alliance leader Stephen Harper in 2002

“Only a new Conservative government can provide real action on sovereignty, and will stand up for our Artic [sic] and for Canada.” the Conservative Website

Harper’s Tories will not support Kyoto and they seem to be reluctant to acknowledge the existence of global warming. Harper does not like the idea of companies being fined money for polluting and yet he is frustrated that the Liberals have not been able to best the American’s at the “Lower Your Green House Gas Emissions” game.

Quick recap: Kyoto is bunk science; global warming is not that bad; the Liberals have not done enough about Green House Gases; the Conservatives will not support Kyoto; and the Conservatives will not fine companies for producing Green House Gases. But then it is election time and now the Conservatives will make sure the Arctic is ours.
But why would we need to reclaim and ensure our sovereignty over the Arctic?

The United States has long challenged Canada’s claims to sovereignty over the Canadian Arctic, saying it considers much of the region to be international waters.

This could have serious implications if ice in the Northwest Passage starts to melt due to global warming and shipping companies decide to send vessels through the area to save time and fuel.[Emphasis mine.]

And so it seems that, for Harper, Canada has not done enough about global warming, which is melting the Arctic, and yet Harper criticizes Paul Martin for criticizing the US about global warming. Harper will not enact Kyoto which would, at the very least, be a start to fixing a problem and he will send ships to guard the results of global warming from the US and other countries. Martin yells at the US but Harper wants to point guns at them. [Guardian report on this war of words.]

While Harper wants to fight in the Arctic, Paul Martin says it is too expensive. While Martin wants to fight global warming. Harper says it is too expensive. The whole damned thing is too expensive but we can’t be too cheap to not fix it either. And we have to fix it on both sides. We need to curb the cause and we have to deal with the effects.

And there is debate about the cause, and the solutions to the cause. Some even suggest that the effects of global warming include Hurricanes. Hurricane Katrina is one of those thought to have been the sinful spawn of global warming. But recent analysis suggests that Katrina was a mere Category One Hurricane when it hit New Orleans. So then why the destruction? Too weak infrastructure to stop the storm? A government that hates the poor? Bush? Or is it something else?

The son of famed religious leader Billy Graham, Franklin Graham, suggests that it was God. And then Scarborough Country goes on talking about it. But others also don’t think that the US is Christian enough either. And The Onion implies that God is in a competition with terrorists.

The problem here is that no single group is claiming responsibility for global warming or climate change. Even if a company admitted that they were polluting they would likely state that the cost to change that is too great. The Liberals want to enact Kyoto which, in my opinion, is not enough and, instead of doing something real and coming up with more alternatives, they bitch-slap the Americans. (But kudos on that too.) The Conservatives say that Kyoto won’t do shit-all and so they instead want to protect the melted waters. The Greens and the NDP do appear to want to do something about the environment but until the Liberals and the Conservatives get their heads out of their asses nothing will happen.

We could just blame God. That way we do not have to assume any responsibility whatsoever. But I don’t think that is the way God would want things. So we could blame the sinners. But I recall someone saying “love the sinner, hate the sin” and someone else saying “Judge not lest ye be judged.” I think King James said one of those.

Eyes of the Beholder

I love to reign over a tirade. Apparently some people love Harper. Others don’t. The people who love Harper think that any time something somewhat negative happens to Harper that it was orchestrated by a liberal biased mainstream media. If people snap pictures of Harper and there is a bad photo then it could not be the poser’s fault. It is the liberal media trying to slant everything their way. The liberal media is so crafty that they will, supposedly, do things like photo-shop the eyes of Harper to make it look like he has no soul.

I did a little further investigating into the whole “photo-shop and steal the soul” fiasco. There are two photos of Harper. One in colour. One in black-and-white. The one in colour appears to have Harper’s eyes “whited out.” The one in black-and-white appears to be normal. Working on a hunch I grey-scaled the colour image and colourised the black-and-white. What I found startled me. When Harper is colorized his eyes go foggy. When he is grey-scaled his eyes turn charcoal black. I tried this experiment on other images but the results were inconclusive. Why does this happen only with images of Stephen Harper?

Alas, here is my evidence. You be the judge. The first image is the colour image when it was grey-scaled. The second is the colourised black-and-white.

Harper is not the Anti-Christ

Graduating from a Christian college may not entitle me to be the greatest theologian in the world BUT I do have a couple of ideas about theology. Firstly, if there is indeed an Anti-Christ I do not think it is necessary that the environment around him be warm. Secondly, the New Testament does not speak of just one Anti-Christ but several, so to label someone as an Anti-Christ does less to mark that person as an evil person and more to give credence to a movement that may well be growing in numbers. Thirdly, I am not an etymologist but the word “anti-Christ” means being against Christ. Specifically it means being anti Christianity, Church, God and so one. I understand there are some nuances in the way the term anti-Christ may be understood when actually reading the Bible. Fourthly, while the Devil may be an antagonist to Jesus, he himself is not necessarily the anti-Christ. This goes with my point that there may be more than one anti-Christ. Fifthly, Christians, non-Christians, and anti-Christians all breathe out moisture. When it is cold that moisture freezes or something and becomes a smoke like substance. Everyone poops too.

In my case proving something sinister about Stephen Harper, I was given an anonymous tip. The tip came from SDA. (I reveal my sources, tough luck.) But Small Brain Dead Animals has it all wrong. Harper is not the Anti-Christ like she claims. He is more than that. And The Experiment has the proof.

The Devil will come in sheep’s clothing and the eye is the gateway to the soul. In a recent photo Stephen Harper’s true identity came to light. The first clue is his eyes. He has the eyes of a wolf and the body of a sexy sexy Ken doll. The next clue is his breathe. Frozen in his breathe is the unmistakable pentagram and goat’s head. When I first saw this I figured it must just be a coincidence so I enlarged the photo.

harper is devil
There it is. Stephen Harper is more than just a mere anti-Christ. Harper is the devil. A wolf in sheep’s clothing with magical breathe.

CONspiracy

The worst thing in the world has happened. The Liberals made some political advertisements. Then they said and did stuff. Then they released some more ads that fit with what they were saying. It is a conspiracy. I mean, if the Liberals say what they believe and then put ads on TV that backs up what they are saying then they must have a hidden agenda. Except it is not so hidden.

I have done some investigating on my own. And what I have found will shock you. The Conservatives have an agenda of their own and I have the images to prove it. Here are the results so far in my on-going investigation.

I made an appointment to meet with Stephen Harper when he was in Winnipeg.
harper
But he declined. In his steed I was greeted by his henchmen.
harper guards
But here is the dirt I picked up on Harper.

Harper met with the Bush Cartel to discuss membership dues in the Compassionate Conservative Iron Fist Glee Club and Blood-Bath Emporium. This is a photo-op taken before the meeting.
harper

Harper’s TV ads feature a defeated Canadian army that lacks in weaponry and ammo. Instead they have to fight using WWII chainsaws.
sad army

Harper plans on buying the best equipment to build up his dream-team army. While he has not released any data on the new gear I have obtained leaked information and images of his plans. These plans will create a huge deficit and will rob Canadians of health-care because all funds will be diverted away from healing the sick in Canada to helping cause deaths overseas. Here are the leaked images of the new duds.
army
navy

Other services will also be cut. Like the CBC. Harper will cut the CBC. Pull the plug and not shed a single tear. I have also obtained an unreleased photo-op Harper took which clearly demonstrates his plans to get rid of the CBC.
cbc photo op

And yet these are not the real conspiracy. Harper does have a hidden agenda. After demonstrating his superiority using brute-force through the military and police Harper has a secret desire. He will force Canada into a third-world debt and then, when we are at our weakest, he will declare complete dominance over us. And this is not speculation. A paparazzi photo given to The Experiment reveals Harper’s intention to become Dictator for Life over all Canadians.
dictator

With all this proof who will you vote for? Paul Martin, a man who conspires to say bad things about the US? Stephen Harper, a man who conspires to conquer Canada through brute force? Or Layton, a man with a moustache? The future is in your hands.

pHrear – Mixed Up or acidic ass?

I have always thought that Terry Fox is the quintessential icon of Canadiana. He had all the answers, was a little crippled, moved slowly and then never finished the job he set out to do. And so other people had to try and finish it for him. Stephen Harper wants to be the next Terry Fox. One of his election promises is to fight cancer over there so we do not have to fight it over here. Fighting cancer sounds like a good idea. Two of my grandparents died of cancer. One never smoked. The other had quit twenty years or so prior to his death. It would be nice to have met my grandma and it would be equally great to wish my grandpa a Merry Christmas this year. According to Terry Fox himself (or someone who does research for his ego-maniacal self-named agency) there, in Canada, are twice as many diagnoses for cancer a week as there are deaths. And there will be about 50,000 cancer related deaths in a given year. According to the Center for Disease Control between 700,000 – 2.7 million people die from malaria each year. 75% of which are African children. Sure cancer is terrible but more good could be done provide Malaria aide to Africans.

But Harper’s mixed up concerns do not end there. Harper does not believe in gun control. He dislikes the gun registry (a valid complaint). But his answer is tougher laws and penalties. Harper asserts that “Gun crime has spun out of control because they have failed to do anything to reduce gun crime.” Yet gun crime in Canada is remarkably lower than the US. If this is the case, does that not warrant some thought as to why this actually may be the case?

For example, the number of suicides involving a gun in Canada has gone down. What possibly could be the reason for this? Is it the fact that there are less guns here? There are about thirty (30) times as many guns in the US as there is in Canada. Is this because Canadians need them less or is this because they are illegal or is this because owning a gun just because you can is a stupid idea? The likelihood of being killed by a gun is higher if you are in the US than if you are in Canada. (In Canada 80% of deaths due to guns are suicide, and the number of suicides due to guns is on the decline. Other forms of killing one’s self are being used instead of blasting a cap in one’s own ass.)

In my opinion gun’s are stupid unless you actually want to kill something. Handguns are even stupider because they are meant for not killing something but someone. Harper wants to keep everyday people from being criminalized but wants to make everyday criminals people. And there is something to be said about the NRA in being involved in Canada, but I don’t want to waste my time talking about those yokels. [For the sake of being somewhat balanced, here is some firearm Fact-Myth shit from gun-totting yahoos.]

Rather than making guns illegal, Harper wants to make it easier to get a gun. Rather than preventing crime Harper wants to make a sentence more severe. Rather than taking care of the causes of crime, Harper wants to to punish punish punish. And punch in the face. Maybe a spanking. While Harper does not like social assistance programs trying to help the less-fortunate eek through life he wants to help people get into a government sponsored program where food and shelter is provided. All you have to do is have some dope.

Mandatory minimum sentences for drug crime. And no decriminalization of marijuana. But that just makes sense. The war on drugs in the US has been such a great hit. Everyone is getting in on it. The prison population has never been higher in American history and it is all thanks to drug laws. So, while financial aide is taboo, getting room and board is A-OK. And mandatory minimums? Mandatory minimums do not solve the problem. They change the problem. Tougher laws will not stop crime from happening just like gun control does not stop gun possession. I do not understand how one can make sense and the other not.

So, to recap this loosely connected idea. Harper hates cancer but has no opinion of malaria. Cancer can die a slow, painful, wheezy death. But malaria better not come here because this is where Canadians vote. Guns are cool but gun violence is not. Gun violence is spinning out of control and must be stopped. But getting rid of guns will not fix that. Making guns easier to obtain and less criminal to own will not make more gun violence just more peaceful law-abiding gun-owners. Drugs are bad and to stop them the punishment must be badder. Stricter laws and mandatory minimums will stop drugs even though stricter laws will not stop gun violence. And the only government run programs that should exist are ones in which firearms are involved – police and the army.

I truly hope that Harper succeeds. He has the makings of a real hero. A leader. A true Canadian hero. I hope he is the next Terry Fox that way his mixed up vision of Canada will at most make it half-way. No, I take that back. If he does make it half-way then we have to pick-up where he left off and bring Canada back to a reasonable and caring and worthwhile place to live. Harper’s Canada is self-centered, narcissistic, confused, mixed-up and incomplete. Harper’s Canada is one to rally against and stop. Looking at a train-wreak is understandable. It is intriguing and horrifying at the same time. But if you can stop it, then you should. Letting it happen just to watch some shit is ridiculous.
