I used to think I understood Christianity. I used to be a staunch supporter of its cause and even championed it among my peers but it seems that I do not understand it anymore. Just what, exactly, are morals? The Bloc and the Conservatives claim that the Liberals no longer have the moral authority to govern and apparently it is in the hands of the NDP if there will be an election.
If the purpose of the ruling party in government is to rule and govern then it seems a little paradoxical that they should even be asked to provide an opportunity to stop doing what their job is to do. But it seems that Paul Mari tn rejecting a call for just such an “opportunity”.
The Conservative are not big fans of Quebec and the Bloc, but their unholy and un-official alliance seems like a match made in hell with the devil presiding over their incestuous relationship. And the Cons appear to want to make it a menage et trois with the NDP. The NDP hold most of the cards and they appear to be showing all of them. “Give us what we want or else we will give the Conservatives what they want. We are ready bring out the handcuffs and whips.” (My own paraphrase.)
What Stephen Harper wants, I guess, is nothing more than to slide down peoples’ chimneys and beg for their votes. A Christmas election is quite likely, unless the NDP get an early present from St. Martin. In which case the entire population of Canada will be able to breathe a sigh of relief as they will not have to think about anything except spending all their hard-earned money on shit like gift-wrapping and plush toys for toddlers that would rather chew on a fork in an electrical socket.
There is nothing better for a political party’s ratings than forcing an election in winter over Christmas. The Conservatives may not know what to do with all the seats that they will win. They are behind in the polls; they look and act like jack-asses; Stephen Harper has a pole up his ass and a bee in his bonnet; and now they are calling for the Bloc and the NDP to help them out. What is wrong with the Conservatives is that they seek help from people they say the Liberals should stay away from.
If there are ice-rinks on the lake of fire this winter then the Conservatives will inherit the softwood lumber issue. Without any balls of their own to play with they will gently massage those of GWBush and Ms. C. Rice. Then there will be no soft wood of which to speak.
If Canada hates the NDP for being socialist and hates the Liberals because the Liberal hate Canada then it is in the best interest for the Conservatives to have them strike a deal. This would mean there would be a spring election where spring-fever is setting in and everyone is going crazy because they will not be cooped up in their houses anymore. People would get out of the house and vote, and because people are crazy then they would vote Conservative. They would vote Conservative because A) they are crazy; B) the Liberals hate Canada and: C) the NDP are socialist.
Stephen Harper should just shut-up.
And shut-up he will, but only when his jingoistic internal monologue has run out of lines to repeat and repeat and repeat. There are a set number of things a nut-job can say before he is found out. And once people see the pictures of him with his hand down Bush’s pants they will see Harper for what he is – a political horn-dog for power.
My advice to Harper is to diddle yourself and get good at it before you try to do it in public. Keep your mouth shut or you will get what is coming.
